As the opportunities and regulations in the warranty and insurance market have changed, Kaleida has updated the system to provide new functionality. In addition to the core Admin System, Kaleida also built and provided hosting for web-based sales platforms for Telesales and Dealers. These systems sell around 140,000 policies per year .
The solution
In 2010 MWD commissioned a customer-facing website template to sell products for a number of different brands directly to the public. The ASP .Net MVC website was created under the banner name of Customer Web and released to “Live” within 3 months. Recent changes to the Customer Web system included implementing Paperless Direct Debit Processing. Requests from DDP were analysed, stories agreed with the client, before development, testing and release to UAT for review with DDP. Ongoing support and development work includes the creation of new site versions for different partners, often in short timescales, along with site and administrative updates to meet changing business requirements.

Kaleida recently adapted the Customer Web system to be used by dealers and banks operating in Abu Dhabi. Apart from adding logging in functions and adapting the sales process, the main challenge was allowing the site to be served in either English or Arabic script with correct date and text formatting. The website was written using ASP .Net 4, MVC 2, Entity Framework 4, SQL Server 2008.
