Kaleida developed a case management system to manage the process of placing individuals looking for social housing with private landlords.

The system guides users through the initial enquiry and vetting of prospective tenants on to collection of further data and generating the necessary documentation to allow the customer to move into the new property.
The system was developed as an ASP .Net, MVC web application using C#, JavaScript, HTML and SQL Server 2008.
Key features & Benefits
- Ability to collect all applicant details and use that data to vet their eligibility online. Vetting is based on the combination of answers given by the applicant.
- Integration with the telephone system automatically brings up the applicant's details on the screen if they call from a recognised number. Case Notes and Contact History allow a user to monitor interaction with the customer.
- Integration with Sage payment system.
- The system creates documents including Tenancy Agreements and Policy Schedules and stores then on fileserver along with ad hoc documents created by user.
- Reference request letters to employer and landlord are created and the system allows the responses to be tracked as part of the approval process. An email is generated with all the data needed to start the credit reference check.
- The system calculates the bedroom entitlement based on the number, age and gender of applicants along with their relationship to each other.
- The system populates a standard LHA Housing Form with the captured data to be printed and submitted.
- The core vetting logic has been split off into a separate component and exposed along with lead collection web services to allow partners to vet and submit applicants directly into the system.
